EDNA'S CHOCOLATE ICEBOX PUDDING | |
2 cakes German sweet chocolate or 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips 4 tbsp. hot water 2 tbsp. sugar 4 eggs, separated 1 1/2 doz. lady fingers or 1 box vanilla wafers In saucepan cook until thick the chocolate, hot water and sugar. Cool. Add egg yolks one at a time, mixing well. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into chocolate mixture. Line large serving dish with halved lady fingers; pour part of chocolate mixture over bottom. Layer the remaining with lady fingers or wafers, ending with chocolate. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Serve with whipped cream. Serves 9-10. |
