GERMAN DUMPLINGS 
1 loaf hard bread or French bread cut into med. size cubes
5 med. potatoes, cubed
4 eggs
1 tbsp. butter or oil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 med. onion, diced
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. flour

Put eggs, potatoes, salt, onions and water in the blender and mix well. Pour over bread mix then add flour. Mix only until it holds together. Shape into baseball size balls. Use a large kettle filled 1/2 full boiling water. Drop dumpling one at a time, into the water. Put on cover and boil for 30 minutes. Serve in gravy. Makes 12 dumplings.
