1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine 2 cups flour, 2 teaspoons soda, 2 teaspoons cream of tartar and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cream Crisco, butter, brown and white sugar together. Add the combined flour mixture and mix. Roll into small balls and then in sugar. Do not flatten with fork. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes.
