MIRACLE BROWNIES 
1 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
14 tbsp. (1 c. minus 2 tbsp.) cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. corn syrup
1 c. chopped nuts

Sift dry ingredients. Add shortening, eggs, vanilla, and corn syrup. Mix 2 minutes with low speed. Stir in nuts. Spread batter evenly over a greased 15 1/2 x 10 inch jelly roll pan. Bake 25 minutes. May be frosted with fudge frosting.

FUDGE FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
1 square chocolate
1/2 stick butter
Pinch of salt
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring to a boil while stirring. Cook about 3 minutes. Let cool, add vanilla. Beat until spreading consistency. Spread on brownies.
