COUNTRY BAKED APPLES | |
6 Rome apples 1 c. brown sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/3 c. raisins 1/4 c. cinnamon candy (red hots) 12 tbsp. maple syrup Core apples leaving bottom intact. Trim a small slice off the stem end. Stuff with mixture of brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins and candy. Place apples in 2 inch deep baking dish and pour 2 tablespoons maple syrup over each apple. Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes until brown and soft. Serve with half and half. |
