MY MAN'S BUTTERMILK PIE 
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
2 egg yolks
1/2 c. fructose
1 tsp. lemon extract
1/2 recipe plain pastry
1 recipe meringue

Blend butter and flour, add egg yolks and fructose beaten together, buttermilk and extract. Line pie tin with pastry. Pour in filling and bake in hot oven at 425 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven, cover with meringue and bake as directed.

MERINGUE:

2 egg whites
4 tbsp. fructose
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Beat eggs until frothy. Add fructose gradually and continue beating until stiff. Add flavoring. Pile on pie. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.
