APPLE TURNOVERS | |
1 c. shortening 1 tsp. salt 1 (12 oz.) cottage cheese 2 c. flour Mix these until mixture leaves the side of bowl and forms a ball. Chill for at least 30 minutes. Roll out and cut into 4 inch squares. Place a very small amount of Miriams baked apples, a dash of cinnamon and a dot of butter in center, fold over and crimp with a fork, do air holes. Bake 20 to 30 minutes at 400 degrees on a greased pan. Can broil a minute or two at the end. Makes 15. |
