RAISIN APPLESAUCE CAKE 
4 c. applesauce
1 c. raisins
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
4 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. cocoa

Combine all ingredients and mix until uniformly moist. Pour into 1 (9x13 inch) and 1 (8x8 inch) pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 40-45 minutes.

ICING FOR RAISIN APPLESAUCE CAKE:

1/4 lb. butter
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1 c. brown sugar
3 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla

Combine butter, brown sugar and evaporated milk and boil for 2 minutes. Add powdered sugar and stir, adding vanilla, until smooth. Spread over cake while hot.
