JEWISH SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE | |
1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar Cream together. 2 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. sour cream mixed with 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. baking powder Grease 2 quart (Jello ring mold pan). Line the pan with some of topping mixture, set maraschino cherries about 1 inch apart on bottom of pan. Cover the cherries with 1/2 of the batter. Sprinkle 1/2 or 2/3 of topping over batter. TOPPING MIXTURE: 3 tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. chopped nuts Spoon on the rest of batter. Sprinkle on remaining ingredients on top. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. Cool at least 20 minutes. Serve cherry side up. |
