PIZZA BREAD | |
1 French bread loaf, sliced lengthwise, buttered 15 1/2 oz. can canned tomato paste 3 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 tsp. basil 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 2 c. grated Mozzarella cheese 1 1/4 c. sliced pepperoni or other cooked meat 2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms 1 sm. green pepper, diced 1 c. grated Mozzarella cheese 1/2 c. grated med. cheddar cheese Arrange bread on tray buttered side up. Broil until toasty brown. Mix next 5 ingredients in small bowl. Spread over bread. Sprinkle with first amount of Mozzarella cheese, followed by pepperoni, mushrooms and green pepper. Place on baking tray. Scatter lengthwise remaining Mozzarella cheese over top. Sprinkle cheddar cheese down center of each bread half. Bake in 450 degree oven until hot and cheese is melted. Cut each bread half crosswise into 2 to 3 inch strips. Serves 4. |
