HAWAIIAN PINEAPPLE CAKE 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (and juice)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nuts

Mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. Mix pineapple, juice and eggs. Put in buttered oblong dish. Mix brown sugar and nuts and sprinkle on top.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Topping:

1 (14 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) ;butter
1/2 c. sugar

Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Quickly turn off the heat. Pour over cake as soon as it comes from oven.
