BANANA TEA BREAD 
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs, well-beaten
1 c. mashed ripe bananas (2 or 3 fully ripe bananas)

Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Beat shortening until creamy in mixing bowl. Add sugar gradually and continue beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour mixture alternately with bananas a small amount at a time, beating after each addition. Pour into well greased bread pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until bread is done.
