BANANA BREAD TEA LOAF 
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 3/4 c. flour
2 3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. (2-3) mashed ripe bananas

Beat shortening until light and creamy (2 minutes at medium speed). Gradually add sugar. Add eggs and beat until thick and pale lemon in color. Mix dry ingredients together and add to egg mixture alternating with bananas. Grease bottom only 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 3-inch loaf pan. Pour mixture in evenly and bake at 350°F for 60 to 70 minutes.

Cool 20 to 30 minutes on wire rack.
