BLACK BOTTOM CREAM CHEESE BARS | |
CRUST: 1 c. Pillsbury's Best All purpose flour 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 c. butter, softened 3/4 c. semi sweet chocolate chips, melted FILLING: 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/3 c. butter, softened 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1 c. Pillsbury's Best All Purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. rum or 1 tsp. rum extract 1 tbsp. vanilla GLAZE: 1/4 c. semi sweet chocolate chips 1 tbsp. rum or 1/4 tsp. rum extract and 2 tsp. water 1 to 2 tsp. water Heat oven to 325 degrees. In large bowl, combine flour and remaining crust ingredients; mix well. Press mixture in bottom of ungreased 9 inch square pan or 11 x 7 inch pan. In large bowl, beat sugar, brown sugar, butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add remaining filling ingredients; blend well. Spread over crust. Bake at 325 degrees for 38 to 43 minutes or until edges are light golden brown and set. Cool 30 minutes. In small saucepan over low heat, melt all glaze ingredients, stirring constantly until smooth. Drizzle over warm bars. Refrigerate at least 1 hour, before serving. Cut into bars. Store in refrigerator. 36 bars. |
