BOURBON BALLS 
2 c. crushed vanilla wafers (60)
1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
1/3 c. bourbon (or brandy)
1/4 c. light corn syrup
Confectioners' sugar

Combine crushed vanilla wafers, the 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, and cocoa. Stir in nuts. Mix bourbon and syrup and stir into crumb mixture; blend thoroughly. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of mixture into compact balls. Roll in confectioners' sugar. Place on lightly buttered baking sheet and let stand, uncovered, in refrigerator for 2 hours to dry. Store in air-tight container in cool place.
