PEACH PRESERVES | |
5 lb. peaches, peeled & sliced 7 c. sugar 6 c. water Use firm peaches (Clingstones are excellent). Bring sugar and water to a boil; add peaches. Cook rapidly until the fruit is clear when lifted from the syrup. Pack into hot jars, leaving 1/8 inch head space. Seal. Process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes. |
