SALMON PATTIES | |
1 (15 oz.) can salmon (I discard skin) 12 saltines, crumbled 1 egg WHITE SAUCE: 1/2 tsp. butter 1/2 tsp. all-purpose flour 1/2 cup half & half salt and pepper, to taste 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt (Lawry's) Mix salmon, saltines and egg. Set aside. Make white sauce by melting butter. Add flour, stir well. Add half & half cooking until it thickens. Add white sauce to salmon mixture and mix well. Form patties and fry in butter. Note: The white sauce keeps patties moist and fries crisp. Submitted by: Donna Gammel |
