NORWEGIAN TOAST 
1 1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
3 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cardamom

Cream the butter and the sugar; add the eggs and sour cream and mix. Add the flour, soda, and cardamom and mix well. Form 2 long loaves on a cookie sheet (greased). Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Slice and lay hot flat slices on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
