PLUM POUND CAKE 
2 c. self rising flour, sifted
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
2 tsp. vanilla, optional
4 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
2 sm. jars (4 3/4 oz.) strained baby food plums

Combine dry ingredients and add oil, beaten eggs. Last add plums and 1 cup chopped nuts. Pour into well greased and floured tube pan and bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.

ICING:

Combine 1 cup sugar about 1/2 cup water and 1 tablespoon white Karo syrup, 1/2 stick butter. Lemon flavoring to taste. Boil 5 minutes and pour over hot cake.
