TWINKIES 
Bake a white, yellow or chocolate cake and slice it lengthwise or divide batter in half and bake in 2 (9"x13") pans, greased and floured for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

CREAM FILLING:

1 c. milk
5 tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 c. Crisco
1 stick butter

Cook milk and flour until thick and cool. Beat sugar, salt, vanilla, Crisco and butter until light. Add to flour mixture and beat until light and fluffy. Frost 1 layer of cake and top with other layer. Cut and serve.
