TACO SALAD | |
3 lbs. ground beef 1 pkg. McCormick taco seasoning mix 2 lg. tomatoes, diced 1 lg. onion, diced 1 (16 oz.) pkg. cheddar cheese, diced 1 bell pepper, chopped (opt.) 1 head lettuce, shredded or chopped into bite size pieces 2 jars taco sauce (mild, medium or hot) Sour cream (opt.) Black olives (opt.) Cook ground beef until brown. Drain off all grease and rinse with hot water at least once. Add a cup of water and taco seasoning mix; simmer until moisture is absorbed. Enough for 4 to 6 servings. Put into serving dishes, add tomatoes, onion, bell pepper, cheese, lettuce and taco sauce and serve. May also be served in taco salad shells. Or everyone can make their own with the toppings they like. Can be served over tortilla chips. Be creative and enjoy. |
