GOBS 
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
8 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. milk
4 c. flour
2 tbsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking soda

Mix all ingredients well, add dry ingredients then flour last. Bake rounded tablespoonfuls of mix (as for cookies) on greased baking sheet at 350 degrees. Cakes will be done when lightly touched in center, they spring back. Cool completely.

ICING:

1 c. shortening
4 tbsp. flour
4 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. milk
1 box confectioners' sugar

Mix ingredients well adding sugar or milk until desired spreading consistency. Spread icing on flat halves of 2 cakes and put together. Store in tightly covered container. Great wrapped individually and frozen.
