BASIC LASAGNA 
2 lbs. ground beef, cooked & drained
1 (28 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
3/4 to 1 tsp. garlic powder
3/4 to 1 tsp. parsley flakes
3/4 to 1 tsp. oregano
3/4 to 1 tsp. basil
Skimpy 3/4 crushed red pepper
Parmesan cheese
About 20 oz. Mozzarella cheese
Lasagna noodles

Combine ground beef, seasonings, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and 1 or a little more, 28 ounce can of water. Simmer gently for 1 hour. In a long cake pan layer as follows: Sauce, noodles (cooked, about 3 or 4 across lengthwise), sauce, Mozzarella cheese (in thin slices or grated), Parmesan cheese, sauce, noodles, sauce, cheeses, sauce. Repeat layering until pan is full with sauce as top layer. (Usually I get about 2 thicker or 3 thinner layers.) Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes or until cheese melts.
