OVEN CHOP SUEY 
2 tbsp. shortening
1 lb. cubed veal or pork (or half & half)
1 med. onion, chopped
1 c. diced celery
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 soup can water
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 c. chow mein noodles

1. Melt shortening in skillet on controlled surface burner set at 275 degrees or over a medium gas flame. Add meat and brown well. Stir in remaining ingredients.

2. Pour into a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole.

3. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 1/2 hours. Stir once or twice during baking. Cover the first 20 minutes of baking time. Sprinkle over chow mein noodles and eat.
