CRANBERRY APPLE SALAD 
2 (1 lb.) cans whole berry cranberry sauce
2 c. boiling water
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. strawberry gelatin
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. mayonnaise (optional)
2 c. apples, diced
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Melt cranberry sauce over medium heat. Drain. Mix together cranberry liquid, water and gelatin. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Add lemon juice and salt. Chill. Add mayonnaise. Fold in apples, cranberries and nuts. Chill.
