FLORENTINE COOKIES 
2/3 c. butter
2 c. quick oats
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. flour
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (11 1/2 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) Toll House morsels

Melt butter, then add the next 7 ingredients. Mix well. Drop by level teaspoon on foiled-lined cookie sheets, 3 inches apart. Spread thin each teaspoon in a circle. Bake 5 to 7 minutes in 375 degree oven. Let cool, then pull off foil. Melt Toll House morsels over hot water. Then when cookies are cooled, spread chocolate on the flat side of cookies and put two together to make sandwich cookies. Keep cookies in refrigerator when done.
