COLD OVEN POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
5 eggs
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. BLAIR lemon flavoring
1 tsp. BLAIR vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. baking powder

Sift together 3 times, flour, salt, baking powder. Cream together Crisco, sugar and butter; add eggs and mix well. Add rest of ingredients alternating milk and flour. Pour into greased and floured large tube cake pan. Place in cold oven. Set temperature to 325 degrees and bake for 2 hours.

VARIATIONS:

Add 1 teaspoon each Blair butter-nut, almond and coconut flavorings for 5 flavor pound cake.

Add 1 teaspoon each Blair black walnut and vanilla flavoring plus 1 cup chopped walnuts for black walnut pound cake.

Add 4 tablespoons cocoa, 1 teaspoon each Blair vanilla and chocolate flavorings for chocolate pound cake.
