ZIPPY BEEF BISCUIT CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. diced green chilies or green pepper 8 oz. chili powder 1/2-1 tsp. garlic powder 1 can biscuits 1 egg, beaten 1 1/2 c. shredded Kraft Natural Monterey Jack cheese Set oven at 375 degrees. In large skillet, brown ground beef and onion; drain. Add chilies or pepper, tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic powder. Heat until bubbly. Separate can of biscuits into 10 biscuits. Separate each biscuit into 2 layers. Press 10 layers on bottom of ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Add egg and 1 cup cheese to meat mixture; spoon into prepared casserole. Place remaining layers of dough on top. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and paprika. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 6 servings. |
