CHIPPED BEEF POT PIE 
1 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. hot fat
1/4 tsp. pepper and salt
2 c. peas
1/4 oz. dried beef, cut up
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. carrots
2 c. water
2 c. sliced potatoes
1 bouillon cube

Saute onions and beef in hot fat. Stir in flour and seasonings. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until soft. Pour into casserole and drop dough on top and bake.

PASTRY:

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. celery salt
5 tbsp. lard
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. salt

Mix dry ingredients; add lard and mix like pie dough. Drop on pot pie and bake for 25-30 minutes at 345 degrees.

NOTE: Chicken, stew meat, or pork can be used instead of dried beef.
