PORK CHOP SUPPER 
4 tbsp. fat or oil
6 pork chops, salted as for frying
6 slices onion
6 rings green pepper
6 slices peeled tomatoes
1 c. rice, uncooked
1 can consomme plus 1 c. water

Brown pork chops in fat and place in baking dish or Dutch oven. Top each chop with 1 slice onion, pepper and tomato. Put rice around chops and pour consomme and water over rice. Cover with foil or lid so rice can steam done and flavors blend. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Check occasionally, might not need to cook as long or more liquid could be needed.
