OATMEAL MACAROONS 
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. molasses
1 c. sugar
1 egg, unbeaten
1 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. rolled oats
1/3 c. raisins or nuts

Combine first 6 ingredients and beat well. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Drop by teaspoon on baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
