NORWEGIAN APPLE CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil 3 eggs 2 c. sugar 1/2 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. vanilla 3 c. fresh apples, peeled & diced 3 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. walnuts Cream together oil, eggs and sugar. Add buttermilk and vanilla. Beat well. Add flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon and mix well. Fold in the apples and walnuts. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Best served slightly warm with ice cream or whipped cream. |
