CHOCOLATE CHERRY CAKE | |
1 box chocolate fudge cake mix 1 can cherry pie filling 1 tsp. almond extract 2 beaten eggs FROSTING: 1 c. sugar 5 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. milk 6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips CAKE: Combine all ingredients, stir well by hand (do not use electric mixer). Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 inch cake pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes in 375 degree oven. FROSTING: Combine ingredients in saucepan. Bring to boil, remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips. Stir until all are melted. Pour hot frosting over hot cake as soon as you remove it from the oven. |
