MAPLE - GLAZED APPLE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground coriander (optional)
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 egg
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. milk
2 c. chopped fresh apple

Cream butter with sugar. Add salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander, cloves and eggs; blend well. Stir in flour with baking soda and milk until well-blended. Stir in apples.

Drop by small spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until firm to the touch.

GLAZE:

1 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. powdered sugar, stirred before measuring
1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
2-3 tbsp. milk

Stir together butter, powdered sugar and flavoring and milk. Dot the top of each cookie with glaze. Cool. Allow glaze to set before stirring.
