KEY LIME PIE 
FILLING:

4 eggs, separated
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
Green food coloring
1/2 c. lime juice
2 tsp. lime peel, grated
1 (9") graham cracker pie shell

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. sugar

Beat egg yolks. Stir in milk, lime juice, peel and a few drops of food coloring. Beat 1 egg white until stiff. Fold into milk mixture. Turn into pie shell. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy. Gradually add sugar beating until stiff. Spread meringue on top of pie sealing edges to crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until brown. Cool and then chill in refrigerator. Serves 6.
