KRAUT AND SAUSAGE 
1 lg. can sauerkraut
6 to 8 slices bacon
1 lg. onion
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 sm. can mushrooms, chopped

Cut bacon in small pieces and fry until done. Add onion, chopped and brown. Drain sauerkraut in colander and rinse lightly with cold water. Add kraut to bacon and onion mixture. Sprinkle on the sugar and add the mushrooms. Cover and steam the mixture until the kraut is soft. (Add water to prevent sticking.)

Polish sausage baked in oven 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 350 degrees. Serve separately or with sausage cut in pieces and mixed in.
