BAKED OYSTERS 
3 doz. oysters
1/4 c. oyster juice
Italian (Progresso) bread crumbs
6 slices crisp fried bacon
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 c. Romano cheese
2 to 3 tbsp. olive oil
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Dash of Tabasco
Salt and pepper to taste

Line baking dish with Italian bread crumbs. Place drained oysters closely together on bread crumbs.

Mix finely chopped bacon, garlic, Romano cheese, olive oil, juice of 1/2 lemon and dash of Tabasco.

If mixture is too dry 1/4 cup of oyster juice can be added.

Spread mixture on top of oysters. Sprinkle with a little more bread crumbs. Bake in 350 degree oven until brown on top. Mixture should not be too dry or too moist. Serves 6.
