CHOCOLATE CHERRY CAKE 
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Put in large bowl:

1 box Fudge or Devil's Food cake mix
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

Stir together until mixed. Do not beat. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch 2 inch pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until center of cake feels firm to touch.

ICING:

Put into saucepan:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk

Mix and bring to boil. Stir for 1 minute after boiling begins. Remove from heat, add a 6 ounce bag semi-sweet chocolate chips. Beat until smooth. Punch holes in cake and while hot pour on icing. Spread evenly. Chopped pecans may be added to butter and-or icing if desired.
