YEAST BISCUITS 
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water
5 c. flour
7 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco
1 1/4 - 1 1/2 c. buttermilk, room temperature
1/4 c. sugar

Dissolve yeast in water, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in Crisco until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Blend together 1 1/4 cups buttermilk, sugar and yeast, stir in flour mixture and blend well. Roll out on floured surface; cut. Bake on greased pan at 350 degrees until browned.
