SPEEDY DOUGHNUTS 
2 beaten eggs
1/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. milk
3 tbsp. shortening, melted and cooled
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Beat eggs, add sugar. Beat with eggs until light. Add milk and cooled shortening. After sifting the flour, sift remaining dry ingredients. Add all the sifted ingredients to the eggs, sugar, milk and shortening. Beat until light.

Put dough into freezer 5 minutes. Take out and knead dough on floured board. Cut into 1/2 inch designs. Place in deep fat with temperature at 375 degrees. Turn only once. May add 10x sugar to them. 10 to 12 doughnuts.
