CABBAGE SLAW 
3 qts. cabbage, chopped (1 lg. or 2 sm. heads)
1 med. red pepper, chopped
4 med. onions, chopped
3 c. sugar
1 pt. white wine
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard

Mix all ingredients except cabbage and boil. Then cool brine and mix with chopped cabbage and place in large jar with lid. Refrigerate. Best if not eaten the same day.
