HUNGARIAN SLAW 
3 qt. cabbage, shredded
1 lg. green, sweet pepper
1 (7 oz.) jar pimento (also juice)
4 med. onions, chopped
1 tbsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tbsp. celery seed
1 pt. vinegar
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt

Mix last 5 ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over the first 4 ingredients. Put in jar or tight container and let it stand at least 1 hour before serving.
