GRANDPA EDDIE'S WILD RICE SOUP | |
1/2 lb. bacon 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 can mushrooms 2 cans cream of mushroom soup 2 cans cream of potato soup 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese 1/2 c. chopped celery 2 cans chicken broth 1 qt. half & half 2 c. wild rice Bring 6 cups of water and wild rice to a boil. Cook until tender. Dice bacon, fry to med. crisp, drain grease, add onion, celery sautee until tender. Combine remaining ingredients except half & half and Cheddar cheese into a large soup pot, heat for 30 minutes, add half & half and cheese. Cook until hot enough for you. |
