"BUTTERY" OATMEAL COOKIES | |
3 sticks of butter 1/2 c. backed brown sugar 1/2 c. white sugar 1/2 c. honey (optional) 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 3 c. Quaker oats 1/2 c. Bran (optional) 1/2 c. chipped pecan pieces Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Mix well. Add honey, bran, and pecans. Stir in oats. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes. Yum! Yum! Makes 3 1/2 dozen. |
