DIVINITY CANDY 
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
2/3 c. water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1/4 tsp. salt

Boil sugar, corn syrup and water until forms hard ball when dropped into water. (Testing one or two drops in water.) Add salt to egg whites and beat until stiff, pour hot syrup slowly, into egg whites, beating constantly until mixture thickens and loses its gloss. Add chopped nuts. If mixture does not stand in peaks when dropped add little powdered sugar; beat well. Drop by teaspoon on greased wax paper.
