FRENCH ONION SOUP 
2 c. sliced onions
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 cans Campbell beef consomme
2 beef bouillon cubes
5 c. hot water

Saute onions in butter. Add remaining ingredients and simmer until onions are tender. Serve steaming hot. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
