SWEET POTATO PIE WITH STREUSEL TOPPING | |
1 (23 oz.) can drained sweet potatoes, mashed 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk 1 egg 1 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ginger 1/8 tsp. cloves 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell STREUSEL TOPPING: 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. chopped pecans 2 tbsp. butter, firm 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Mix sweet potatoes, milk, egg and spices until smooth. Pour into a pie shell. Mix brown sugar, flour, pecans, cinnamon and butter together. Blend with fork until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of pie. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 to 65 minutes. |
