REFRIGERATOR YEAST ROLLS 
2 c. warm water
2 pkgs. active dry yeast
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. soft shortening
1 egg
6 1/2 - 7 c. plain flour

In large bowl dissolve yeast in water. Stir in sugar, shortening and egg. Mix in flour with hand until dough is easy to handle. Grease top side of dough and cover with wax paper and damp cloth. Place in refrigerator about 2 hours before baking. Cover with wax paper and let rise until double, 1/2 to 2 hours. Heat oven to 400 degrees and bake 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 4 dozen rolls.
