BAKED LEG OF LAMB | |
1 fresh leg of lamb Meat tenderizer, seasoned or unseasoned Pepper 1 lg. onion Catsup Approximately 1 pt. vinegar Heavy duty foil In large pot or kitchen sink, soak leg of lamb covered with cold water and vinegar for about 2 hours. Take out of pot and dry off. Take a long sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil and place in a baking pan. Make cuts in leg down to bone, place parts of cleaned garlic into cuts. Season all over with onion, tenderizer, pepper and onion ring. Place foil, roll each end back and place in about 375 degree oven until brown; then pour all over and pull foil together and bake about 2 1/2 hours roll back the foil again. Mix 3 cups of flour with 1 pint of water and catsup for gravy. Let cook 20 minutes more. |
