GINGER-UP SALAD 
1 (15 oz.) jar applesauce in pan
1 pkg. lemon Jello
1 sm. bottle ginger ale or 7-Up
1 orange or 1/4 c. orange juice
Grated peel of lemon or orange (comes dry in a box)

Heat applesauce in pan. Dissolve Jello in hot applesauce. Add ginger ale or 7- Up, orange or orange juice, grated peel. Place in mold to cool and set. Garnish with cherries or other fruit. The tartness of the salad compliments dishes like baked macaroni.
